We’ve had some lovely early rainfall this season and the bush is coming alive. The grass is growing, the wildflowers are blooming and the birds are singing!
Most mornings now we are waking up to the call of the
Red-chested Cuckoo, the Eastern Nicator and the Red-fronted Tinkerbird, to name just a few.
We are really in a great place for birding – on our own property we have several species, regularly seeing beauties like the Pink-throated Twinspot, Narina Trogon and the Gorgeous Bush-Shrike; and close by there are the reserves at False Bay, Hluhluwe Imfolozi and Mkhuze where you can take a day trip to see so many more.
